UK Music held its annual awards celebrating the best of the Music Academic Partnership (MAP) network. Ruby Ewing, who studied Songwriting at Leeds Conservatoire, secured a Special Mention prize, with Actor Musician graduate Tasha Dowd also nominated.

Leeds Conservatoire has an ongoing partnership with Sound City. As part of this, the festival team has selected artists from the conservatoire to perform at Sound City 2024: the eighth year in a row.

The conservatoire secured performance and placement opportunities for students and recent graduates this summer through continued festival partnerships.

Introducing Tomi Robynne, Lois, Goddess Collective and Kneeo, the four Leeds Conservatoire artists selected for Sound City 2023 as part of the organisations' ongoing partnership.

Leeds Conservatoire first year Folk student Dabiela Timóteo has recently completed a Vocal Leader placement at Holy Rosary Primary School, a partner of the conservatoire.

Mia Jade, Little Planets and The Sunkissed Child are set to play on 11 June.
