We're delighted to be partnering with Long Division Festival again this year, which takes place on Saturday 11 June!

We will be working closely with the festival on several exciting initiatives and giving conservatoire artists Mia Jade, The Sunkissed Child and Little Planets a place on the 2022 line-up.

A number of Leeds Conservatoire affiliated artists will also be joining the line-up, such as Sunflower Thieves, Mollie Coddled, Van Houten, Venus Grrrls, Josephine Sillars, Household Dogs, Yusuf Yellow, Carmen McClean, Neeto and Fuzz Lightyear.

Find out more about Mia Jade, Sunkissed Child and Little Planets and hear their thoughts on performing at the festival.

Mia Jade - Course Studied: BA (Hons) Music (Songwriting)

"As an avid music lover, I have always enjoyed attending festivals and have always aspired to play at them. To play at a festival as popular as Long Division feels like a dream. Being in the same line-up as artists such as Sea Power and The Howl & The Hum, whom I've admired for years, is also surreal and truly exciting."

Mia then discovered her love of songwriting and began writing for herself. Mia has been developing as a solo artist for around two years and has just released her debut single, with an EP in the process. As a member of the LGBT community, Mia doesn't hide her identity and shares her experience through her music.

Little Planets - Course Studied: BA (Hons) Music (Popular)

"We're excited to visit Wakefield as we haven't played there before, and it is an up and coming music hub on our doorstep. It will also be a great opportunity to see and discover so many great bands in one place and celebrate the local scene."

The Sunkissed Child - Course Studied: BA (Hons) Music (Popular)

“We are super excited to be playing in a city we've never played in before - Wakefield! Not only that, but also getting to see some of our fellow Leeds Conservatoire musicians play. Including Yusuf Yellow, Fuzz Lightyear, and many more.”
