Leeds Junior Conservatoire Terms and Conditions


Terms & conditions

  • Students have the right to cancel their course booking and receive a full refund (providing the course has not already started) within 14 days of booking.
  • Tuition fee balances for all students must be settled, in full, before the last scheduled LJC term date of the current academic year.
  • If a new student decides to withdraw within their first half term, only five LJC term dates will be charged.
  • If a student decides to withdraw from LJC, one half term's notice (equal to five LJC term dates) must be given, in writing, of intention to leave and any balance of fees paid. If an over payment has been made a refund will be calculated.
  • The notice period begins from 9AM on the first scheduled LJC term date after the written notice has been received.
  • If we are unable to run classes, we will reschedule or use a different delivery method such as online learning. If this is not possible, a credit towards fees for the following academic year will be made. For students who will not return in any new academic year, a refund for the undelivered classes will be offered.
  • For families who find themselves in financial hardship after bursary applications have closed, LJC will consider a late bursary application, subject to remaining funding.
  • Replacement LJC ID cards can be purchased for £3. 

Terms & conditions - Refer a friend scheme

Definitions  

Referrer means the parent/carer of a current LJC student  

Referred Friend means the parent/carer of a new LJC student  

Referral Reward means a £10% discount on LJC Fees for one year  

  

  • The Referred Friend will be given a code that must be entered on the application form. They will be asked for the email address and name of the Referrer. 
  • The Referrer needs to be the parent/carer of a current LJC student.    
  • The Referred Friend must be a new LJC student and live at a different address to you. 
  • The Referral Reward is dependent on the student successfully auditioning for LJC. The standard referral reward is a 10% reduction in LJC Fees to the Referred Friend, and Referrer for one year. 
  • Rewards will be validated once the family member of the Referred Friend has been enrolled and attended for a minimum of half a term.  
  • Once a referral is validated, both the Referred Friend and Referrer will receive an email notification.  
  • Referral rewards are variable. Leeds Conservatoire reserves the right to withdraw or change the referral promotion at any time, with or without notice.  
  • The reward is subject to acceptable attendance, behaviour, attitude and following LJC’s Code of Conduct whilst enrolled as an LJC student.  
  • Referral rewards can only be used to subsidise LJC fees and cannot be exchanged for cash.  
  • The Referral Reward cannot be used in conjunction with bursaries.  
  • The Referrer cannot recommend anyone else at their address.  
  • The referrer can refer as many friends as they like, but only one reward can be claimed by the Referrer.  
  • We will withhold rewards if we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.   
  • All decisions made by Leeds Conservatoire are final.
