Match Funding Scheme

From the Artistry & Enterprise Team

The Match Funding Scheme is an exciting initiative to fund Leeds Conservatoire student projects.

This scheme is aimed at providing match funding for projects and activities which are not covered in the curriculum. You can apply for up to £500 which can be up to 50% of the cost of the project or activity.

Unlike a bursary, you will need to show your commitment to the project by working hard to secure the other 50% of the money you need to raise.

There are lots of ways to raise the money you need, but you will need to work hard and use your creativity to achieve your goals. To receive our matched funds, you will need to demonstrate that you raised your share of the money: It is not enough to have the money in your account already – that wouldn’t be fair.

When applying for the funding you will need to explain what you are going to do to raise the money. This forms part of the criteria that the panel will use when selecting applicants to the scheme.

The Match Funding scheme is open to all current students across all pathways at Leeds Conservatoire.

We do however focus on different year groups for different application windows.

There are two application windows throughout the academic year.

  • 23rd November - 6th December 2020
  • 15th March  - 16th April 2021

We encourage you to attend our short webinar explaining the Match Funding Scheme, the application process and the parameters of the fund. This will help to give you the best chance of submitting a successful application.
