Bio

Lara Wilson is a passionate disabled Yorkshire-based Actor & Theatre Maker, training at Leeds Conservatoire on the BA Acting course.

Lara has learnt to fully embrace her Cerebral Palsy using her wheelchair as a creative tool, she is proud to be part of the inclusive shift within the industry.

In her graduate season, she is thrilled to have performed in Leeds Playhouse co-production of Romeo and Juliet as Mercutio and shall be making her Assistant Director debut at the Carriageworks Theatre on Welcome to Thebes, as well as performing the role of Eris.

Credits in training include Cornelia/Jenny in Faustus: That Damned Women by Chris Bush (directed by Amie Burns Walker) and a immersive theatre production of [BLANK] by Alice Birch (directed by Alex Palmer). In addition to other amateur productions with a focus on improvisation and devising.

Lara also features in STRIDE, the University Centre of Leeds Mental Health app.
