Bio

Eija Gibson is a Leeds based actor completing her training on the BA Acting course at Leeds Conservatoire. In her graduate season, Eija will appear as Candy in Rose Lewenstein’s Darknet, directed by Yusuf Khamisa, before taking on the role of Brooker in Melissa Bubnics Boys Will Be Boys directed by Erin Carter. Previous credits at Leeds Conservatoire include Olga in Chekhov’s, Three Sisters and Lady Celia/John Reynolds in Howard Brenton's Anne Bolyen. Most recently, Eija has worked with award-winning family theatre company Wrongsemble as an Assistant Director on their Bradford Literature Festival pop-up season, and as Assistant Stage Manager on The Not So Grimm Twins national tour. Throughout her training, Eija has developed disciplines in screen and stage, including the creation of short film Stupid Spy for Visible Fictions in 2021. A working-class artist, Eija is passionate about creating access to art and addressing social and political issues in her work.
