In this Q&A/Masterclass, moderated by LCoM's own Dr Sally Rodgers, with contextualising video and questions crowdsourced from LCoM students and staff, the legendary founder of Mute Records Daniel Miller will discuss his life and work. The mastermind behind the astonishing successes of bands like Depeche Mode (he was often described as the 5th member), Erasure and Goldfrapp, Daniel has also provided creative space and career development for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, New Order, Moby and DAF amongst many others, and at 68 still spends many of his weekends DJing at electronic music festivals around the world. A renaissance man, a synth nerd, a manager, producer and A&R genius in a world of homogenised acts, LCoM is proud to welcome this legend of the British Music Industry.
