Using Logic Pro X, this condensed course will teach you the fundamentals of this industry standard software in a practical workshop environment.

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for people who are new to this subject or who want to gain knowledge of the basics of modern music production. We recommend that participants have the following knowledge prior to attending this course:

  • A basic knowledge of a Mac or PC computer system (Navigating menus, loading and saving files etc.)
  • A musical keyboard ability would be an advantage but not essential

What you will learn

 By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Record, Edit and process MIDI data
  • Record, Edit and process audio material
  • Combine MIDI and audio material to complete your own musical project or projects
  • Synchronise Logic X with other music production hardware and software
  • Mix and Master your compositions

Your fee also includes an ID card to access the building, as well as access to our fantastic library facilities for the duration of this course.

Course Dates

This evening class runs on a Thursday evening for 5 weeks from Thursday 14 May - Thursday 18 June 2020, 6 - 8PM each week. (14 & 21 May, 4, 11 & 18 June 2019). Please note there is no class on Thursday 28th May.

Full-time students from other institutions receive 50% discount on all community ensemble bookings and 10% discount on all short course fees above £45. ISM members recieve a 10% discount on course fees over £45. Please note that in all instances we will ask for proof of eligibility.
