You can apply for our MA Music, MA Dramaturgy, MA Musical Direction, MA Musical Theatre Company and MA Musical Theatre Creatives for 2023 entry via this form.

Note: Direct Applications for 2024 entry are not yet open. Please register your interest for 2024 entry to be notified when applications open.

PGDip Music

Please note that as the entry requirements, application process and teaching staff are the same for both the PGDip and MA Music, this application cycle we are asking applicants to apply and audition for the MA Music course. The Postgraduate staff would be happy to discuss the differences between the PGDip and MA Music courses at interview, were the candidate to reach this stage in the process. The PGDip course is for applicants who do not already hold a postgraduate qualification in music.

Please note that if you have already applied to other institutions through UCAS Conservatoires for entry in this academic cycle we will not be able to accept a direct application from you. Personal Statement

Please give further information about yourself and your experience in support of your application. Please include the following:

  • The most important activities that you have undertaken which have direct relevance to the course you wish to study at Leeds Conservatoire. These could be performances, work experience etc. Explain when and where these activities took place and your roles and responsibilities, highlighting if any activities were extra-curricular or were paid work.
  • Your career aims and aspirations and how you anticipate that your time at Leeds Conservatoire will help you achieve these.
  • Other skills or abilities in the arts, not necessarily linked to your chosen study
