  • Repayments will be under income contingent repayment terms. You will repay at the rate of 6% of your income above the threshold which will be £21,000 per year, until at least 2019/20.

How to apply for a student loan?

Visit: www.gov.uk/student-finance

If you had an Undergraduate loan you should use the same Customer reference number. You will need your passport number, National Insurance number and bank account details.

Please note that when asked “Where do you plan to study?” you will need to select LEEDS CITY COLLEGE from the drop-down list.

(This is because Leeds College of Music is a subsidiary of Leeds City College and Government rules will only allow the parent institution to be listed for student finance purposes. This does not affect your course details or any aspect of the provision)

Professional and Career Development loans

We are a registered provider for the Professional and Career development loan scheme. Our provider number is 8241. This is a commercial bank loan which you can use to pay for your tuition fees or living costs. For further information please see https://www.gov.uk/career-development-loans

Charities and Grant-Making Trusts

Please see the useful links section for further information. You are advised to apply early for any trusts or charities which may be relevant, as there is very high demand for limited resources.
