Tom Sidebottom is a BTEC ensemble tutor and the Enrichment Coordinator for the FE Music department at Leeds College of Music. As part of his Enrichment role he regularly organises workshops and performance opportunities for the FE Pop & Jazz students at venues across Leeds.

He is a violinist and has performed many times in different countries around the world, including numerous extensive tours across the US, Canada and China. He also plays viola and bass guitar.

He has been writing & producing original music for over 20 years, has his own record label, and his productions have been play-listed on Radio 1. He also produces production/library music, providing works for Universal Music among others, along with producing string section sample packs.

Locally, Tom works as a creative session musician – coming up with violin & viola parts with artists during recording sessions. He also works as a string arranger – recording & producing the violin & viola parts himself.

Tom is an Associate Member of the Institute of Acoustics, having completed a Masters in Audio Acoustics in 2015 at Salford University.
