Whilst completing his degree, Si joined forces with a fellow alumni and set up a commercial recording studio and music production company in Leeds which ran successfully for 10 years. As well as recording/producing a multitude of bands and artists from the local area, across Britain and some European artists, under the banner of Hightone Productions Si  has co-written and produced bespoke music for many media companies, in addition to sound design, composition and production for multiple theatre productions on both a national and international level.
