College alumnus Jonny Farrell (BA Music Production) and his band These Monsters have received an excellent review in the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine. The magazine described the band’s new album as “off the wall weirdness from Yorkshire. Occasionally maddening, sometimes thrilling, but always interesting.”
The long awaited debut album from These Monsters ‘Call Me Dragon’ will officially be released on the 1st March in the UK and 10th May throughout Europe. Recorded at Foel Studios, Wales with Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, The Klaxons, Napalm Death) the album demonstrates the freaked out, riff driven prog-force that the respected four-piece have become.
With their love of large vintage amplifiers, big drums and high energy, passionate performances, These Monsters deliver a huge live sound and are developing a reputation as one of the loudest and most exciting underground bands in the UK.
The band is currently on a 23-date UK tour including a support slot as part of the acclaimed All Tomorrow’s Parties festival and a date alongside 65daysofstatic (DJ set) at new regional live music venue Bungalows & Bears, Sheffield.
