Leeds College of Music, ArtForms, Find Your Talent and Sound and Music will be hosting an education-based day as part of the forthcoming Expo Leeds festival.
The aim of the day is to introduce students to the potential of sound as an art form. The day will be facilitated by a professional sound artist and supported by music students from Leeds College of Music.
During the day participants will be given the opportunity to visit four specially selected EXPO installations; use electronic equipment to record sound and images; explore digital technology and collaborate as a group to create a piece of sonic art.
The education day is now full but check out www.expofestival.org for details of other free events happening during the festival. The main festival takes place 25 - 28 with a number of fringe events before and after these dates.
Leeds College of Music is one of the supporters of Expo Leeds. The festival is presented by Sound and Music/Media and Arts Partnership.
