Senior Lecturer in Pop

Luke is a Senior Lecturer teaching on the BA in Pop Music, and specialises in drumming.

A professional musician with over 20 years’ experience in the industry, Luke has played venues around the world including The Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, The Greek Theatre and Glastonbury Main Stage. He has performed and recorded with artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Cinematic Orchestra and James Yorkston during his extensive and varied career.

Luke has extensive experience as a recording artist, recording on several albums including:  Everyday, Ma Fleur, Man with a Movie Camera by The Cinematic Orchestra; The Sea, The Love EP by Corinne Bailey Rae; Heart Shaped Stone by Kathryn Williams; and Keep On Movin’ by The Haggis Horns.

As well as maintaining a successful and prominent presence on the live performance scene, Luke also teaches at several notable HE music institutions in the UK.
