Students' Union

At the centre of student life.

LCoMSU

Whether you want to join a society, make your voice heard or ask for advice, Leeds College of Music Students' Union (LCoMSU) is your one-stop shop for everything to do with life on campus.

Staffed by a panel of students affiliated with the National Union of Students (NUS) but elected by and responsible to you, LCoMSU works directly with the Conservatoire to improve your experience and ensure your views are listened to, as well as organise sporting, charity and social events throughout the year.

You'll first encounter the Union during Enrolment and Freshers' Week, when you can get hold of an NUS card (which gets you discounts in many high street stores, clubs and restaurants), sign up for societies and sports clubs, and meet other students.

Leeds College of Music students' union regularly works collaboratively with the students' union at Leeds College of Art, and students can also get involved with societies belonging to the other universities in Leeds and the University of Hull.

ONE BAR INN

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and selling great value food – with discounted rates for students – the Conservatoire's café-bar One Bar Inn doubles as a performance space, hosting open mic nights, Freshers' Week events and parties in conjunction with the Students' Union.

Located in the centre of the building and always alive with chatter, One Bar Inn is your first port of call if you want to thrash out some ideas with friends, check upcoming concert listings on the café smart screen or just grab a Fair Trade coffee on the way to lectures.

One Bar Inn stays open into the evening so students working late can purchase snacks and drinks, while those living on campus can order from the take-away menu.
