BBC Introducing Classical Artist Jamal is rapidly becoming one of the most sought after cellists of his generation.

He is the First Prize winner of several competitions including V Antonio Janigro International Competition (2004), Muriel Taylor Cello Competition (2014), Croydon Concerto Competition (2015), Bromsgrove International Competition (2015) and Eastbourne Concerto Competition (2016). Jamal enjoys performing as a solo artist and a chamber musician in Europe and Asia. His recent performances include Wigmore Hall, Windsor Castle, Menuhin Hall, Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing) and Istrian Assembly Hall (Croatia). Jamal plays on a cello by Gabrielli (1756).

Maria has already gained an enviable international reputation as a soloist and chamber musician. She studied first in Ukraine with Alexandra Smetankina and Iya Pavlova, and then in Poland with Natalia Radecka, Natalia Rewakowicz (piano) and Maja Sterczynska (chamber music). In 2008 she moved to Brussels where she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
