How to apply for other accommodation

If you do not get a room in Joseph Stones House, you will obviously be wondering what you will do. UNITE also owns two other buildings in the city centre which our students can live in - The Plaza and Sky Plaza and you can apply directly to UNITE to live in one of those.

Alternatively you can apply for somewhere to live through UNIPOL. UNIPOL is a reputable, well established, charitable trust, partly funded by the two Leeds universities and the colleges in Leeds (including Leeds College of Music) to help students find a place to live. They are non profit making and provide free and comprehensive services. If you can’t get a place in Joseph Stones House, then we strongly recommend you use UNIPOL. If you have an unconditional guaranteed place at Leeds College of Music they have halls available near to college.

For those with conditional places then the rooms may be slightly further out of the city centre but still easy to get to by bus. UNIPOL offers halls of residence, flats, houses and rooms (through private landlords who have signed up to their Code of Conduct) www.unipol.leeds.ac.uk

If you are under 18 you can apply to live in Liberty Park and Carr Mills (Cotton Mills) . As they are privately run halls, you must apply to all these places yourself.
