Music Technology Research

Music Technology is another of Leeds College of Music's particular strengths. We are a market leader in the provision of Music Technology Education, and this is reflected in the research of much of the staff.

Current research fields in music technology include: Recording Classical music for SACD and surround sound; Creativity in recording; Use of technology as a pedagogical tool in music; Use of technology in vocal tuition; Development of an HE curriculum for Music Technology; Electroacoustic composition.

Leeds College of Music also hosts the Leeds International Music Technology Education Conference and is currently developing a new peer reviewed journal in Music Technology Education.
