BA (Hons) Music graduate Ashley Hicklin (pictured) has landed a worldwide publishing deal with EMI.
Ashley, who graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2007, has been making a name for himself on the Leeds and London circuit, performing at a range of venues including The Royal Albert Hall.
Ashley, and his band The Troubadours, recently secured a management deal with KRMB Management. The band is now working with acclaimed Leeds producer Will Jackson (known for his work with Coldplay, Embrace and the Kaiser Chiefs) who, according to Ashley, "is sprinkling fairy-dust on the debut album".
During his time at Leeds College of Music, Ashley studied operatic vocal performance later majoring in classical composition. During his time at the College his works were performed by London Sinfonietta, Goldberg Ensemble, the Apollo Saxophone Quartet and COMA Orchestra.
