Nonclassical club night at IFAI 2015

Breaking the rules with Gabriel Prokofiev

Gabriel Prokofiev and his Nonclassical label brought their unique club night to IFAI 2015 on 12 March, featuring alumni and staff from Leeds College of Music as well as other musicians who are redefining the rules of classical music.

Leeds' Key Club was the venue for an evening of experimental music, with performances by Classical pathway leader Damien Harron, lecturers Karin de Fleyt and Rob Bentall, and alumni flautist James Wilson – amongst other innovative musicians.

Nonclassical is a record label and club night which caters for a new generation of music lovers who are searching for new and exciting developments in music. Presenting classical music as if it were rock or electro, Nonclassical has flourished in London, Paris and Berlin, and become a fixture at events like SXSW festival – as well as our own IFAI and iFIMPaC.

You can listen to some of Nonclassical's work on its SoundCloud page, and visit its website.
