Jazz greats visit campus

Nikki Iles and Stephen Keogh work with students

Two of our visiting professors came to Leeds College of Music on 14–16 March to lead an intensive workshop with 30 jazz students.

Nikki Iles and Stephen Keogh are long-time collaborators who not only brought their individual, vast experience to the event, but also the perspective of two kindred spirits who share a real joy for each other's playing.

Nikki and Stephen worked with five groups, on material by composers such as Kenny Wheeler, Stan Sulzman, Dave Holland and Don Sebesky, in preparation for a gig at Sela Bar on Sunday evening – in which LCoM alumni band Samadhi Quintet also performed. Below are a few images from our Instagram.
