At Leeds College of Music we’re always looking for ways to constantly improve and innovate.
And while we’ve already done a lot in the way of environmentalism and sustainability, we decided this year to really push forward and start setting the groundwork towards Greening our conservatoire.
We want to become the most sustainable conservatoire in the UK – balancing our longer opening hours and excellent facilities with innovative ways of tackling our carbon footprint, waste management and energy usage. As part of this initiative, our conservatoire-wide Green Team, which is made up of staff and students, is hosting its very first Go Green! Day on Wednesday 26th March.
There are a number of ways you can get involved during and following the Go Green! Day
A compilation of songs to get into the mood for Go Green Day! at Leeds College of Music - featuring songs from students who part in 2013's Greenpeace Concert For Project Pod.
The University of Leeds Union will bring their Bardon Grange Project along to Go Green! Day giving you the chance to volunteer on their allotment project, buy seed packets and make a self-watering container for growing a plant. Find out more about it here.
