Young Ideas

Musicians + Movie Credits + Dramatic American Soap Moments + Epic Euphoric Pop Rock = Young Ideas

Young Ideas are; Daniel McDougall, Henry Guy, Bruno Major and James Thompson and their track Neverland, written and produced by Dan, is featured on Music Happens Here.

The band studied on the Popular Music and Jazz degrees at the College and are due to graduate this year.

When asked about being on the album, Dan commented; "To be involved in the College album is something that I have found to be extremely useful. In the ever-changing music industry, any promotion you can get involved in is essential. Producing a College album to promote the talent within it has allowed a band like‘Young Ideas to gain a wider audience. It has also given me insight to the way in which a CD is put together and the processes that go with it. Overall, I thank the College for thinking up new and innovative ways to help promote its students."

During rehearsals we all push each other to work on every aspect of our playing, both individually and as a group, this has really helped me to develop as a musician. I wrote Balud' in 2008 just after we first formed as a band, it is a gentle, pensive piece that we all really enjoy playing, it's a real pleasure to have it featured on the album."
