MA graduate launches Dumb Blonde Club

BA Popular Music Studies/MA Performance graduate Jen Armstrong launches her new band, Dumb Blonde Club, this month with events in London and Leeds.
Monday 22 March will see Jen and her band - comprising graduates from the Popular Music and Music Production degrees - perform at venues The Albion and The Beaconsfield in Hammersmith, London. The dates will act as a warm-up for the official Dumb Blonde Club Launch in Leeds on Friday 26 March.
The Leeds launch, taking place at The Elbow Room, is an opportunity for Jen to perform some of her most recent material alongside tracks she worked on during her time at the College (below - Jen and her band perform Do You Love Me, recorded at Yorkshire Dance, Leeds). Support on the evening comes from BA Popular Music Studies alumna Laura-Jayne Hunter, who will debut her new three-piece band.
Jen graduated from the College's MA earlier this year and performed her final recital at acclaimed live music venue The Wardrobe. During her recital Jen debuted tracks 'Bang Bang' and 'Screw You!' which were recorded with acclaimed producer/songwriter Dr Richard Niles (Kylie, Paul McCartney, Ray Charles). Jen is a firm favourite on the Leeds music scene and regularly performs with the Rachel Cook Band and The Fivers.
Tickets for the Elbow Room launch gig are priced at £2 and are available on the door.
