Leeds College of Music students and alumni reach Futuresound Final

sketches-polaroid-credit-laim-henry1 The annual Futuresound competition is back, inviting unsigned bands from the local area to battle it out and win their chance to play at this year's Leeds and Reading Festivals. Forty bands have been chosen by Leeds promotors Futuresound to perform across ten heats at Leeds music venue The Cockpit, starting on Monday 28 June and running over two weeks.  Of the 40 bands that have been chosen, six of the bands contain Leeds College of Music students or alumni. These include Live at Leeds performers Germain and Sketches (pictured above), recent BBC Raw talent guests Hail Animator (pictured below), Battle of Plumpton winners Moody Gowns, the 6Music endorsed Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles and indie-house band Escort Knights. ha-projector1 If you are interested in showing your support and going along to the gigs, find out more by visiting the Cockpit's website here.
