Ithaca Trio releases collaborative album project

BA Music Production alumnus Oliver Thurley, curator of the Leeds-based Ithaca Trio, has collaborated with Rotterdam composer Rutger Zuydervelt aka Machinefabriek on a joint album release. The album, Par Avion, was released this week and is described on the Jumbo Records website as "four tracks of rainy-day ambient and minimal drone using electronics, acoustic instrumentation and found sound stumblings with an improvising spirit. Machinefabriek's two tracks complement Ithaca Trio nicely, with a more overtly electronic approach". You can view more information about the album at http://comaacademics.wordpress.com/coma-architects/ or purchase the album at Jumbo and Norman in Leeds. Oliver regularly collaborates with Leeds College of Music alumni including Sam Barret, Tom I'Anson, Ed Spear, Chris Wilkinson, Oliver Dover, Mila Dores and Fiona Menzies; as well as with sound artists and 'fictional black metal bands'. http://soundcloud.com/ithaca-trio ithaca-trio
