College alumnus features in BBC2's A Band for Britain

Former Leeds College of Music Student Union President and BA (Hons) Music alumnus Daniel Keen is set to feature in the BBC2 series, A Band for Britain. Daniel, who graduated from College in 2009, will appear in the series conducting the Dinnington Colliery Brass Band. The series follows comedian and presenter, Sue Perkins, as she attempts to breathe life into the Dinnington Colliery Brass Band, which has recently seen member numbers dwindle. Daniel, who was reccommended for the series by John Anderson (Associate Head of Performance & Principal Lecturer in Performance), will appear in the episode airing on Monday 15th March. A Band for Britain is a three part series showing on BBC2 at 9pm.
