Alumnus presents Expo Leeds 'sound and sculpture' installation

Former Leeds College of Music student Jonathan McLeod will present a mixed media sound and sculpture installation as part of the forthcoming Expo Leeds festival. Jonathan McLeod is a sound designer, composer and artist, who recently relocated from Durham to London. Having graduated from Leeds College of Music with a degree in Sound Design in 2008, Jonathan has since been involved in theatre projects as a musical director and sound designer and has also showcased two sonic art installations, most notably his piece as part of the ‘Klanging Banging’ project in Leeds. He is currently beginning an MA in Advanced Theatre Practice at The Central School of Speech and Drama, specialising in Sound Design and Music for Performance. This year’s festival lands in Leeds to take over venues and public spaces across the city, showcasing leading artists and fresh newcomers in sound based art and performance. Expo Leeds is an extended weekend of people enjoying, creating, playing, sharing, experiencing, discovering and listening to sonic art. Leeds College of Music is one of the supporters of this event.
