Knowledge Transfer Unit

The Knowledge Transfer Unit at Leeds College of Music helps students and early career musicians in the Yorkshire region

We aim to:

• Arrange enterprise focussed events giving practical advice on the music industry from financial matters to self-promotion

• Support innovative student business ideas

• Provide a service for external organisations and individuals who want to engage with you; whether for performances, courses or auditions

• Forge partnerships with relevant external organisations to further develop the opportunities available to students

The College provides vital links between the College and the Music Industry through the creation of bespoke training programmes and events, a musicians’ booking service, and the ongoing expansion of Industry Partnerships.

Working internally and externally in support of professional development and industry liaison, the department will forge strategic partnerships in the delivery of the College’s Knowledge Transfer activities.
