I am an applicant from the USA – what’s the position regarding the US loans schemes?
Leeds College of Music is not a registered provider for US Federal or private loan schemes, as we do not meet the US Government criteria.

This means that applicants from the US must have enough funds to pay their tuition fees and living costs in full, without recourse to loans that require the Conservatoire’s authorisation.

Are there any bursaries or scholarships available for International students?
Leeds College of Music offers Excellence Scholarships annually to outstanding undergraduate applicants who demonstrate exceptional potential at audition/interview.

The scholarship takes the form of partial fee remission of varying amounts, for up to three years subject to annual review. You do not need to apply for this scholarship – if you are identified as a potential recipient, we will get in touch with you directly.

What happens if I leave early or suspend from my course?
For all new International students, the Conservatoire will operate a no refund policy for those who    withdraw early from a course.

However, if the student wishes to claim a refund on the grounds of quality, they must follow the customer complaints procedure to be considered for a refund.

Exceptionally, a refund can be considered, at the discretion of the Head of Student Services, where there are compelling personal reasons for the withdrawal. For returning international students withdrawing any time after the date of enrolment, tuition fees will be charged on a proportional basis.
