Activities for International Students

The College's Student Welfare, Accommodation and International Advisor arranges a number of activities and events for international students, including a welcome reception, an orientation tour of the city and visits to cultural and recreational attractions in Yorkshire.

Welcome Reception

Organised as part of the Freshers Week, this event provides the opportunity to meet fellow international students and College staff at the start of your course.

Orientation Tour

This tour provides an introduction to the City of Leeds and what it has to offer, to help you find your way around and settle in to your new life in Leeds.

Visits

Visits are arranged to popular locations in the Yorkshire area, including places such as historic York and Howarth, home of the Brontes.

Experience home life in the UK

Through links with HOST, a voluntary organisation, it is possible for international students to spend a weekend or Christmas with a UK family. This provides an opportunity for you to experience home life in the UK as well as sharing your own culture with the host family.
