Whether you’re starting out in the industry, wanting to make an impact on the media, readying a DIY release or looking for label interest today’s industry event is a good place to start. The sessions will offer the opportunity to speak to panellists from radio, record labels and magazines as well as presenting networking opportunities with other like-minded musicians. A number of band performances will be broadcast live throughout the day on BBC Radio Leeds. 

This is free event and must be booked by ticket. Places are limited so book early

10.30 – 11.30: Getting started! Your first meaningful gigs and developing a national 'buzz'. How to get meaningful gigs; getting on the road and making it work for you.

11.45 – 12.45: Radio and Press: How local & national radio and press work – make it work for you.

12.45 – 1.15: Break

1.15 – 2.15: Getting label interest and the DIY release.

2.30 – 3.30: Managers: Why pay them 20%? What do they do? How can they help you?

3.45 – 4.45: Publishing: What is publishing? Getting income from sync’ - TV, Film, Gaming, Adverts et al.
