Short Courses Review

"Just by chance I came across some information on the web about summer short courses at LCoM. I enrolled on the Songwriting Summer School which ran for 4 days during July. The tutors were brilliant at getting the concepts and the theory across in a way that was both entertaining and nothing short of inspirational. I not only learned a huge amount that week but I was hooked by LCoM.

Since discovering the short courses, I have attended the Introduction to Logic Pro X, Introduction to Audio Recording and the Jazz Improvisation weekend and without fail, the tutors all know their stuff, are enthusiastic and have the ability to motivate and encourage - whatever level you're at. Whether you just want to "dip in" or you already have a long involvement with music or production, there's a wealth of knowledge in the college to help you develop further.

As a result of my experiences at LCoM, I applied for the Music Production Foundation Degree starting in September 2017 and I have accepted the place I was offered. So in the space of less than a year my life will have changed completely, I'll have left my job and taken the path to pursue something that has been a dream of mine for years and I have no doubt that my experience of the supportive environment and huge amount of knowledge on tap has played a big part in my decision. I am now looking forward to developing what I've learned in the LCoM short courses, on a full time basis."
