Postgraduate Courses

A new portfolio of postgraduate degrees has been developed at Leeds College of Music.  These courses are intended for Performers, Composers, Musicologists and Music Producers across any genre – Jazz, Popular or Classical Music and aim to provide high quality and specialised training.

The Postgraduate Diplomas allow students to concentrate on performance or composition as their principal study while to gain an MA, candidates have to demonstrate their critical engagement with their discipline through a written commentary.

The College provides specialist staff according to the course of study which you plan to pursue be it as a Jazz, Classical or Popular performer, composer producer or musicologist. The Postgraduate Diplomas are self-contained qualifications which consist of the first two parts of the full MA.

The next Postgraduate Open Day will be held on Thursday 4 March 2010, 2.30pm. It is essential to book in advance for Open Days, as places are extremely limited. To book a place, please complete the Open Day online booking form here.
