Jonathan Flockton

Jonathan Flockton was born in Leeds and studied at Leeds College of Music from which he gained a BA (Hons) Degree in Jazz Studies (1997).
He was inspired to play the guitar in his late teens after hearing the music of BB King and Jimi Hendrix. He soon became interested in playing classical guitar music and began lessons with Kevin Bolton at Wakefield Sixth-Form College, where he discovered the music of Andres Segovia, Benjamin Verdery and Stepan Rak.
Jonathan has since continued to develop his skills with a range of artists, recently performing at Glastonbury and Buxton Festivals. He has appeared on many recordings, as well as television and radio, and is the author of The Intermediate Plateau for Guitar and Yoga for Musicians.
