Equality and Diversity

Leeds College of Music celebrates and values diversity, and believes that it will benefit from engaging a workforce that is truly representative of society, thus allowing it to meet the needs of a similarly diverse student population.

The College will treat all employees and students with respect and dignity, and seek to provide a positive working and learning environment free from discrimination, harassment and victimisation.

The College will work towards the elimination of discriminatory practices
and behaviour whether overt or covert, and will seek to ensure that individuals and communities have equal access to learning programmes and facilities.

Comitment to Students

We value diversity and are determined to ensure that:

• we treat all individuals fairly, with dignity and respect.

• the opportunities we provide are open to all.

• we provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for all staff,
students and visitors.

Please tell us about any requirements that you may have and we will be happy to discuss these with you.

Suport for Students with Disabilities

We welcome applications from people with any kind of disability and are committed to providing specific support for students with disabilities. This support is co-ordinated by the Student Disability Advisor.

The College occupies modern purpose built premises with lift access to all floors and wheelchair access to all facilities. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the College by arrangement with the Student Disability Advisor to discuss their individual support needs in more detail.

Leeds College of Music also provides a strong system of Learning Support for the benefit of all students and especially for those who have specific learning difficulties. We intend to enhance the learning experience of our students and to offer greater opportunities for success.
