Jazz Orchestra
Fee: £147 per year
Monday 7.00pm – 9.00pm
Extend your instrumental techniques into the jazz repertoire, explore jazz improvisation and play everything from big band classics to modern contemporary arrangements.
Instrumentalists required
Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones, (Clarinet and Flute as doubles only), Trumpets, Trombones, Guitar, Bass (electric and string), Drum Kit and Piano.
Entry requirements
Grade 6/7 standard
Entry is by informal audition on the first night
of the class.

Salsa Band
Fee: £125 per year
Thursday 7.00pm – 9.00pm
Explore the extraordinary variety of Latin Salsa styles with this exciting new ensemble.
Arrangements are for brass, woodwind, rhythm section, Latin percussion and vocals.

Discover a range of orchestral works and gain valuable experience in orchestral playing in this enjoyable ensemble. Please contact the Performance and Community Engagement Department before enrolling, as places are limited.

Grade 4/5 standard
The three ensembles listed below are run in conjunction with the College's provision for full time students. You will have the opportunity to work alongside students studying on our HE courses. Please note that there may be limited availability in some areas and informal auditions will take place for new members at the start of the academic year. Symphony Orchestra
Fee: £125 per year
Tuesday 6.45pm – 9.30pm
Explore the symphonic repertoire with this lively
and friendly ensemble. The orchestra combines
full-time and part-time students and performs
several concerts per academic year as part of the Leeds College of Music Concert Season.

Wind Orchestra
Fee: £125 per year
Monday 7.30pm - 8.30pm
Impove your skills in ensemble playing while exploring a wealth of wind band music in a variety of styles. This lively ensemble performs a number of concerts in the community during the academic year.

Choral Society
Fee: £105 per year
Thursday 7.15pm – 9.30pm
Whether you are a beginner or already have some choral experience, this established choir will enable you to develop your singing skills.
Entry requirements
Students must have the ability to read music.
