BA (Hons) Music with Foundation Year

The BA (Hons) with Foundation Year is unique amongst conservatoires and is specifically for students who need an extra year of study to achieve the standard of our entry requirements for the 3-year BA.

If you know that conservatoire study is for you, but you don't think you'll meet the academic or musical entry requirements for the 3 year BA, then this 4-year course may be your opportunity to start your degree and spend an additional year focusing on your musical development.

The Foundation Year modules include one to one tuition on your principal instrument/voice/composition, as well as skills development in ensemble work (or group composition), music theory and musicianship. On completion of the Foundation Year you will continue to the BA (Hons) in Year 1.
