Jez Pritchatt

  • Course Leader for the Foundation Degree

  • He teaches across the College’s HE courses, focussing on music industry, business skills & professional development as well as music production and composition.

  • His particular areas of musical specialism are 50s rock 'n' roll, glam rock and 70s punk.

  • Jez has been a guitarist and songwriter in various rock bands since the 1970s.  He has had various recordings released by ‘Girls At Our Best!’ & ‘The Tall Boys’ and has performed extensively, including in the USA and Europe.

  • He was also the booking manager at the world famous Marquee Club for several years


Alex Halliday

  • Senior Lecturer in Music Production

  • Alex’s specialisms include MIDI sequencing and editing, digital audio recording and editing and mixing and mastering, and he is also an Apple Accredited Logic Trainer.

  • He was a professional singer/songwriter fronting To The Fountain, who released The Horse Won’t Lie Down on Heron Records in 1988. The band continued to be active until 1996 and enjoyed a healthy following particularly in the Benelux area of Europe where the album was re-released on Mascot records for the European market.

  • He currently continues to write and produce his own music as well as to compose record and produce for performing arts organisations and the public services such as Opera North, Yorkshire Dance and West Yorkshire Police.
