Our alumni go on to win awards, tour and record as part of bands and ensembles, and have diverse careers in and out of the music industry.


Laura Oakes

  • Graduated from Popular Music pathway in 2012

  • 2015 Female Vocalist of the Year at British Country Music Awards

  • She released her debut Self-Titled EP to iTunes in the summer of 2015 receiving great support from BBC radio right across the UK, and similarly from Digital Radio (Chris Country and Amazing Radio). Bob Harris included it in his Best of 2015 retrospective on BBC Radio 2.


Hollie April

  • Music Production graduate Hollie April Buhagiar

  • Hollie has performed across the UK festival circuit and has shared arenas with the likes of Emeli Sandé, Level 42, Texas, Jools Holland, Lawson and Olly Murs to name a few. She has received continued label interest from UK and America.

  • Hollie's music has received airplay from numerous stations including BBC Radio and has acquired extreme interest amongst fans and industry professionals. She holds the official support of ReverbNation, SoundCloud and numerous other established music websites.


Dan McDougall

  • Graduated from Popular Music in 2010

  • Has gone on to work as a live and studio drummer for leading industry names such as Ellie Goulding and Tom Odell

  • He is also signed to BMG Chrysalis Publishing as a writer, where his credits include Will Young and The Wanted.
