This degree course builds on our well-established Popular Music course, where we have 10 years’ experience of preparing songwriters to make a lasting impact on the music industry.

Focusing on any sub-genre you want – from acoustic to electronic and mainstream to left field – you’ll be able to call on the skills of our diverse community of musicians and producers to assist you in performing and producing your work.

One-to-one Tuition

You’ll learn one-to-one with experts in your specialism such as Danny Cope, and also receive regular masterclasses from illustrious musicians and record labels.

Facilities Open Until 3am

Our industry-standard studios and practice rooms are open until 3am in term-time, and by attending the only English conservatoire to hold the coveted All-Steinway status you will be practicing and performing on Steinway pianos.

During your degree you will also have access to our music library that contains more than 10,000 CDs, 8,000 LPs and 18,000 items of printed music.
