The Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre at Leeds College of Music provides a peer-based and creative atmosphere in which to pursue your specialism. A busy calendar of conferences, workshops and masterclasses supports your work on either our PGDip, MMus or MA in Production, Performance, Composition or Performance and Composition.


Whether you want to produce your own creative work, or that of other artists, our postgraduate degree in production will help you to focus on your artistic vision and create high quality products.

Performance and Composition

Our performance and composition pathways allows you to develop your performance and composition skills holistically.


On this pathway you can study a range of disciplines alongside highly skilled staff and industry practitioners. Our course will support your performance practice development and career ambitions, without restricting you to genre-specific activities.

Creative Practitioners

All postgraduate students work closely alongside one or more of our Creative Practitioners – industry figures from diverse fields who offer one-on-one tuition and supervision.


Study alongside highly skilled staff on our composition postgraduate degree, with the opportunty to engage in experimental and crossover approaches to composition.


The postgraduate centre organises an annual festival, the International Festival of Artistic Innovation, which brings together new thinking and practice in music.
