The Venue – at the heart of Leeds’ Cultural Quarter

A contemporary space at the heart of the city’s Cultural Quarter, The Venue at Leeds College of Music offers everything you are looking for to host a successful event. Our state of the art auditorium provides a flexible and inviting space that can accommodate conferences, debates, formal presentations, auditions or meetings.

The Venue, situated above the BBC Headquarters and adjacent to the College, seats up to a maximum of 350 people. With a range of facilities – including a café-bar and catering – and a dedicated events and technical support team, we ensure your event will run smoothly. The amount of returning business we receive is testament to this!

Our neighbours on include Yorkshire Dance, The West Yorkshire Playhouse, Northern Ballet Theatre and The Wardrobe, so why not combine your conference or event with the cultural experience Leeds College of Music and Quarry Hill has to offer.

Whatever the size of your conference or event, we’re happy to accommodate with a range of flexible set-ups.

- Large conference set-up for up to 300 people*
- Medium conference set-up for up to 160 people**
- Cabaret style set-up for up to 150 people***

Our dedicated events team prides itself on providing a friendly and efficient service, from your initial enquiry through to the event itself.
 
- Assistance with booking and enquiries leading up to the event
- A single point of contact available to assist you throughout the day
- Technical Manager for support with lighting, sound and stage equipment

We want your event to run smoothly so we provide a range of facilities to ensure this.

- Excellent sound and lighting
- Stage equipment with projection screen
- Plasma screen in Venue foyer
- On-site café-bar, full catering and bar facilities (at additional cost)

We want your event to impress (both you and your delegates), so if you need something else from us just ask!

- Break-out and meeting rooms (subject to availability)
- Additional hire of tables/chairs (available on request at additional cost)
- Musicians Booking Service

Our fully accessible, purpose build building offers comfort and ease of use

- Full disabled access including lift to all floors
- Hearing loop in The Venue
- Guide dog access

Musicians’ Booking Service

Add that extra something to your event! Leeds College of Music’s Musicians’ Booking Service is able to provide high quality student musicians for your event; from string quartets and jazz duos, to soloists and small scale pop bands.
