Nicky is a Senior HR Adviser which makes her responsible for providing information, advice and support to managers and staff on employment matters in accordance with the conservatoire’s policies and employment legislation.
Nicky graduated with a BSc (Hons) Psychology from the University of Leeds and went on to achieve a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. Nicky is also a member of the professional body for Human Resources – the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Nicky began working in Human Resources in 2005, working for the NHS and GE before moving to work the Education Sector in 2008 when she joined Park Lane College. Following a merger in 2009, Nicky worked for Leeds City College in a number of different HR roles before joining Leeds College of Music in 2013.
Nicky’s HR career has given her a broad range of HR experience including Recruitment, HR operations, Employee Relations, Change Management and HR Systems / Data Work.
Nicky really enjoys working in the vibrant atmosphere of the conservatoire and her aim is to help and support the managers and staff in her role, so that they can provide the best possible service to our students.
