Ben Whitehouse

International Officer

Ben graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in History. He went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Early Modern History, following which he worked for an educational charity near his hometown of Manchester.
Ben soon felt the pull to gain professional experience abroad, and he duly pursued this interest and left the UK in 2010. He is well-travelled around Asia, but he was predominantly settled in Japan, where he taught English and gained experience of student recruitment.
Ben is now the conservatoire’s International Officer, and is helping to promote internationalisation and student recruitment, primarily within Asia. He conducts market research and travels to target countries to represent Leeds College of Music at exhibitions and other events. He also supports international students with their enquiries.
