Score Cabinets

The majority of the scores are stored in the music cabinets at the far end of the library. Music is grouped together by instrumental families and there are separate sections for vocal music, jazz and study scores.

Oversized Scores

The oversized score are kept in the drawers opposite the library counter and are stored in alphabetical order by composers surname.

Score Shelves

Scores are also housed on the library shelves and can be found by call number and in alphabetical order by author or group/band name.

Call Numbers

To find the score you require, each item will have a call number

eg  Guitar Popular, Classical Song, Minature Scores

Call number Shelved in Alphabetical order
Minature Scores by surname
Guitar Popular Scores by artist or band/group name

Reserve Stock

Some scores are kept in the back store room classified as reserve stock because of the vast amount we have. If this is the case then please ask at the library counter and a member of staff will retrieve the item you require.

What if the library doesn't have what music I require?
