BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists perform at LCoM

19-20 November

Across one weekend, The Venue at Leeds College of Music will host performances from four BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists; with all being recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
The BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artists scheme was launched in 1999 as part of the BBC’s commitment to young musical talent. Now, in its eighteenth year, the scheme is still going strong and has produced scores of young soloists and ensembles that are now part of the fabric of the musical culture here in the UK and across the world.
This unique series of showcase recitals feature trombonist Peter Moore, Mark Simpson, mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge, and the Armida Quartet. Alongside perhaps more familiar repertoire, these exciting young performers will also give the world premieres of four new pieces that have been commissioned jointly by BBC Radio 3 and the Royal Philharmonic Society and written especially for them by composers Francesco Coll, Manfred Trojahn, Michael Nyman and Johannes Fischer.
Individual concerts are priced at £8 (£5 concessions), with weekend tickets available from £14 to £20 for two or more of the concerts. LoveMusicPass members save an additional £1 on all ticket prices and offers.
