The Ted Heath Music Library

and the Ted Heath Music Appreciation Society Archive

The Ted Heath Music Library comprises the manuscript band sets that were used by Ted Heath and his Music before his death, and afterwards when the band was led by Don Lusher. There are around 1500 arrangements used by the band. Amongst many fascinating items there are pieces arranged for vocalists (solo, duet and for small groups), and music written for a season the band did at the Savoy Hotel.
This collection is complemented by The Ted Heath Musical Appreciation Society Archive. Amongst other items, it contains recordings, journal articles, letters, programmes, and autographs.

Big bands wishing to perform pieces from the collection should contact Claire Marsh

The collection will feature on Len Goodman's Big Band Bonanza this Christmas.
